~ In-game description |
The United States Marine Corps (USMC) is a playable faction in Squad. This faction is the seventh conventional faction featured in the game and the second faction to come from the United States. It was added on June 22 2022 with release 3.0 alongside the map Black Coast.
History
The United States Marine Corps (USMC) was created on July 11, 1798. They originally began as two battalions of Continental Marines that were formed on November 10, 1775, as a branch of troops able to fight on sea and land. In World War 2, they took charge of a massive island-hopping campaign against Imperial Japanese forces in the Pacific. The USMC still remains a professional and experienced fighting force, capable of both amphibious and land-based operations.
Flag
The flag representing the United States Marine Corps in Squad combines the official battle color and the U.S. Marine Corps seal. It consists of an American bald eagle with wings displayed horizontally and inverted, standing upon the western hemisphere of the terrestrial globe on a scarlet background.

In-game Equipment
The USMC uses modern Western weaponry that provides excellent firepower and controllability. In addition, the USMC fields many optical sights for most of their small arms. Much like the U.S. Army, they are identifiable with their distinctive ballistic glasses.
The USMC vehicles offer excellent protection with an emphasis on anti-infantry operations. The iconic AAVC and AAVP armored personnel carriers can carry large amounts of supplies over the sea while providing devastating suppression and firepower through automatic grenade launchers.
