Gameplay
- The TT33 box magazine has 8 rounds.
- Can be fired on only semi-automatic.
- The sights for the TT33 include the iron sights only.
- The iron sights have a fixed zero of 25m.
- Arguably the best-performing pistol in-game, MP443 has the fastest muzzle velocity at 450 m/s.
- MP443 Grach shares the same muzzle velocity but with a much smaller magazine.
- The 652 rounds per minute is the maximum allowed rate of fire for the semi-automatic pistol.
- The TT33 is classified in-game as the Pistol. Pistols are backup weapons with low stopping power and minimal suppression effect. They have moderate sway, regular point fire responsiveness, and slightly more recoil than Carbines due to their unsupported nature. Changing stances have minimal impact on Pistol's recoil and sway.
- Using Pistols as a primary is not a good idea due to the low damage and severe damage dropoff at range, as they don't necessarily have more controllability than Short Rifles. But it can save your life in a pinch when the enemy is caught reloading or when your primary weapon is out of ammo.
History
The TT is a Soviet semi-automatic pistol. It was developed in the early 1930s by Fedor Tokarev as a service pistol for the Soviet military to replace the Nagant M1895 revolver that had been in use since Tsarist times. The TT-30 was manufactured between 1930 and 1936, with about 93,000 being produced. But even as the TT-30 was being put into production, design changes were made to simplify manufacturing. The redesigned pistol was the TT-33. The TT-33 was widely used by Soviet troops during World War II, but did not completely replace the Nagant. It served until 1952, when it was replaced by the Makarov pistol.
Trivia
- The TT stands for Tula-Tokarev.
