The TNT Explosive is a demolition charge featured in Squad, introduced in the version 4.0 as part of the Red Star Rising update for the People’s Liberation Army.

Gameplay[]

  • The TNT Explosive is the demolition charge used by the Combat Engineer kit of People’s Liberation Army and PLA Navy Marine Corps.
  • It is used to damage and destroy deployables. Aside from this, it can also be used against vehicles. It can destroy light vehicles but can only cause track damage and disable heavier vehicles such as IFVs and MBTs.
    • TNT will not destroy a radio at full health. It is advised to hit the enemy radio with the shovel for 3-5 seconds for the guaranteed takedown.
    • When placed on vehicles, they can sometimes fall on the ground. Make sure the green highlight is on the target to prevent this. It can be done easier on the sides or top of vehicles.
  • Unlike the remotely detonated IED, TNT has a fuze time of 30 seconds. Once deployed, the timer will immediately start counting down. It also makes no sound when it is about to detonate.
    • Timed Explosives in-game share the same damage model across all factions.
  • The deployed charge can be "built" (LMB) with the Entrenching Tool, which gives it extra durability from being disarmed, but it does not need this procedure to detonate. To disarm the charge, simply deconstruct it with the Entrenching Tool (RMB).

  • In the first-person view, the player can see Chinese characters "易爆物" (lit.Explosives) and "黄色炸药" (lit. yellow explosive, Picric acid) on the TNT block.
