The SVDM (Dragunov) rifle is a modernised variant of the SVD sniper rifle. Featuring polymer furniture and a stock with cheek weld adjustments, this rifle sits along side the AK-74M in outfitting a Russian infantry squad. The attached 8x 1P88 scope that has range adjustment options out to 1000m.
Unlike the regular SVD, SVDM has an improved scope and a mounted bipod, which allows for steady shots when deployed.
The sights for SVDM is the 1P88 (6-10×) telescopic sight only.
The 1P88 (6-10×) sight allows the user to see enemies from long distances easily and engage enemies at longer ranges without the need to zero the weapon. The variable zoom function allows for increased versatility in target acquisition across different ranges. The sight includes a built-in stadiametric rangefinder. The zeroing of the 1P88 can be adjusted from 100 meters to 1000 meters, further enhancing its long-range precision.
The SVDM shares its ballistics and damage model with QBU88 and SVD.
They have one of the longest 2-hit kill distances in the game at 710m due to its high damage output. This is compensated by the small magazine size of 10.
SVDM is classified in-game as the Designated Marksman Rifle. Marksman Rifles have handling characteristics similar to Battle Rifles. Compared to their rifle counterparts, they have more sway, slightly lower point fire responsiveness, and excessive recoil.
They output suppression effects akin to Light Machine Guns and are effective at medium to longer ranges.
