The SV-98M is a sniper rifle featured in Squad. It was introduced in the Version 5.0 update.
The sights for the SV-98M include 1P69 (6-10×) optical sight.
The 1P69 (6-10×) sight allows the user to see enemies from long distances easily and engage enemies at longer ranges without the need to zero the weapon. The variable zoom function allows for increased versatility in target acquisition across different ranges. The zeroing of the telescopic sight can be adjusted from 100 meters to 1000 meters, further enhancing its long-range precision.
It is Squad's most powerful infantry-carried, light weapon, sharing its damage model with the C14 Timberwolf. The weapon guarantees 1-hit body kills at 1600 meters. Within 800 meters, even aiming at the shoulder will result in 1-hit kills.
It has even better sustained damage output than C14 Timberwolf due to a quicker fire rate and a larger magazine.
It's not as capable as Timberwolf in long-range sniping due to the gravity modifier set at 2.75, while Timberwolf is set at 1.
