Gameplay
- The QBZ95-1 magazine holds 30 rounds.
- Can be fired on automatic and semi-automatic.
- When the QBZ95-1 is equipped by a Squad Leader, every 4th round is a tracer round.
- The sights for the QBZ95-1 are the carrying handle iron sight, Holo Sight, and YMA600 optical sight.
- The carry handle allows the user to zero the rifle for different ranges (from 100m to 300m).
- The Holo Sight provides a clear sight picture in the center and peripheral vision, but it doesn't allow zeroing, limiting the long-range effectiveness.
- The YMA600 allows the user to see enemies from long distances quickly and engage enemies at longer ranges without the need to zero the weapon. It is illuminated.
- The distance adjustments are as follows: top of cross = 50 m, center of cross = 100 m, bottom of cross = 200 m, tip of first arrow = 300 m, top of first arrow-stalk = 400 m, bottom of first arrow-stalk = 500 m. The second arrow is for 600 – 800 m.
- The rangefinding function is as follows: width of bottom opening of circle = human width at 100 m, width of cross = human width at 200 m.
- QBZ95-1 shares its damage model and ballistic performance with QBZ95B-1.
- The 652 rounds per minute rate of fire is below average for an assault rifle but makes the gun more controllable in close and medium range.
- QBZ95-1 and L85A2 both have a slightly higher accuracy than other assault rifles at 2 MOA. They also have one of the fastest muzzle velocities among light weapons at 940 m/s.
- QBZ95-1 is classified in-game as Bullpup. Bullpups offer better moving sway control and pointing responsiveness in handling at the expense of slightly higher recoil.
- They output regular suppression effects and are effective at all ranges.
History
QBZ95 or Type 95 Automatic Rifle (Chinese: 95式自动步枪) is a bullpup assault rifle designed and manufactured by Norinco and for the People's Liberation Army, People's Armed Police, and various paramilitary law enforcement agencies in the People's Republic of China. In 2010, a new variant called QBZ95-1 (Chinese: 95-1式自动步枪), with improved ergonomics and ballistics performance, was produced and issued to frontline troops of the PLA.

- QBZ stands for "Light weapon - Infantry - Automatic" in the Chinese military designation system.
- The Holo Sight is loosely based on the Holosun HE510C reflex sight and Sightmark M-Spec reflex sight.
