General Information[]
The MRH-90 Taipan (Australian Defence Force designation for the NH90 TTH) is a European built medium multi-role twin-engine utility helicopter operated by the Australian Defence Force. Adopted by the ADF in 2005, the MRH-90 was intended to replace the aging fleet of UH-1 Iroquois. The aircraft features fly-by-wire, all-composite construction, a rear ramp, weather radar and forward-looking infra-red sensors. It’s weapon mounts can be equipped with either a Mag58, or M134 Minigun. The aircraft weighs 6.4 tonnes (7 tons) empty, is 16.1m (53ft) long, 5.2m (17.1ft) tall, and has a 16.3m (53.4ft) wingspan. Maximum takeoff weight is 10.6 tonnes (11.7 tons).
Gameplay[]
- The MRH-90 can carry a maximum of 1500 points of supplies which is 500 more than the UH-60M and the same as the Z-8 and the Russian Mi-8 and Mi-17.
- The MRH-90 is armed with two M240Hs for the door gunners each with five 200-round ammo boxes.
