Gameplay
- The MG3 ammo box holds 120 rounds.
- The MG3 has a long reload time as a belt-fed machine gun.
- MG3 has one of the fastest reload speeds on the bipod. The regular reload speeds (both tactical and empty) are above average among belt-fed machine guns.
- The MG3 is fitted with a deployable bipod.
- Every 4th round is a tracer round.
- The sights for the MG3 include Elcan (3.4×) optics only.
- The C79A2 Elcan (3.4×) optic allows the user to see enemies from long distances easily and engage enemies at longer ranges without the need to zero the weapon. The zeroing of the C79A2 (4×) scope can be adjusted from 100 meters to 800 meters, further enhancing its long-range precision.
- The MG3 shares its damage model with the FN MAG and QJY88, but it has a slightly worse accuracy.
- The MG3 is the fastest-firing infantry weapon in-game. At 1100RPM, it's a highly potent anti-infantry weapon and suppression producer.
- The MG3 is classified in-game as the Medium Machine Guns. Medium Machine Guns have extremely uncontrollable sway, inadequate point fire responsiveness, and excessive recoil. Sway and recoil can be significantly reduced via prone or bipod.
- Unlike other Medium Machin Guns, MG3 outputs suppression effects akin to Light Machine Guns.
- Firing the weapon with the bipod deployed is always preferred, creating a highly stable and accurate fire support platform. If the bipod cannot be used, firing the gun from the prone position is the next best option.
- Firing in short bursts will increase the overall accuracy. It will also conserve ammunition.
- The MG3 will not hurt hostile armored vehicles, but it can be used effectively against Technicals, Transports, or Logistics Trucks to kill or wound the occupants. It will also destroy Motorcycles.
- The MG3 can penetrate bulletproof windows on light vehicles.
