Variants[]
The M261 rocket pod is mounted on a variety of vehicles. Specifically, the:
- UH-1Y CAS variant available to United States Marine Corps on version 3.3. However, it was removed in a later patch due to balance problems.
- It is also used by the F/A-18 attack aircraft of the Australian Defence Force and United States Marine Corps during its attack run.
Gameplay[]
- The M261 rocket pod fires Hydra 70 high explosive rockets, which are very deadly against infantry. The rockets are most effective against ground troops and rarely useful against armored targets due to insufficient penetration and low base damage.
