History
Created by the people, for the people, the militia was raised out of necessity to defend their lands and communities, fight global capitalism, and regain the glory of the days of the Soviet Union. Often, the militia is comprised of veterans of their country's military who pass down their experiences to the other citizen soldiers creating well trained units. Relatively well equipped, professional, and with a strong will to defend the cause of communism, the militia are a guerrilla unit that is a force to be reckoned with.
Flag
The irregular militia flag is green with a black isosceles triangle down the middle. The upper point of the triangle has a red circle with a white 5-pointed star touching the edges of the circles with the points reminiscent of the symbol of the Red Army, armed force of the Soviet Union. Two small yellow 5-pointed stars surround the circle on its sides, indicating the need to strike capitalism in the East as well as in the West of the world. The two stars are surrounded by two sickles directly designating the peasant and modest origins of the members of the organization. The irregular militia flag refers to communist ideology opposing capitalist forces in the West such as in the United States.
Kits and equipment
Most of the Militia's weapons do not have optical sights, which can limit the ranged capability of their small arms. This is somewhat made up for by the abundance of high-caliber rifles, secondary handguns, fragmentation grenades, and Soviet Field Binoculars in almost every role's kit.

Unlike the Insurgents, the Militia tend to use somewhat more modern weaponry when possible, and also have a slightly better selection when it comes to vehicle support. Unlike the Insurgents, they have access to the Russian 2A72 30mm autocannon in the form of the MT-LBM 6MB IFV which is fully tracked; unlike the Russian Ground Forces who have it on their BTR-82A.

Trivia
- Along with the Insurgents faction, tracers were removed from all weapons for the Irregular Militia as of Alpha v11.1.
- Based on their uniforms and much of their equipment, the Irregular Militia is most likely inspired by pro-Russian rebels in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of eastern Ukraine.
