The HK51 is the shortest configuration of the G3A3 battle rifle. Its much reduced barrel length and collapsible stock make it an excellent self-defence weapon, but highly uncontrollable.

Gameplay

  • The HK 51's magazine holds up to 20 rounds.
  • It has 2 fire modes, fully-automatic and semi-automatic.
  • When the HK 51 is equipped by a Lead Crewman or Lead Pilot, every 4th round is a tracer round.
  • The HK 51 can only use iron sights with no optics available.
    • The iron sights can be zeroed (100m-400m.)
  • HK 51 has a unique damage model and ballistic performance.
    • It was previously similar to G3A3 and G3KA4, but this was changed in Version 6.0.
    • The 599 rounds per minute rate of fire is one of the lowest in the game for a fully-automatic weapon.
  • The HK 51 is classified in-game as a Battle Rifle. Battle Rifles have handling characteristics in between Full-Length Rifles and Medium Machine Guns. They have dreadful sway, relatively low point fire responsiveness, and excessive recoil, especially when standing up.
    • HK 51 has marginally better spring damping, leading to minuscule improvement in point fire responsiveness.
    • It outputs suppression effects akin to Medium Machine Guns and are effective at all ranges when aimed carefully.

History

Contrary to popular belief, the HK 51 is not made by H&K, being a creation of the American Class II manufacturing after-market. The HK51 has no real standards but is usually a cut-down and modified G3A3, or its semi-automatic clones - the HK 41 and HK 91, which are then modified to take MP5 furniture and accessories.
