The Combined Arms is a type of Unit. Combined arms units are a jack of all trades but master of none. These units are most similar to factions pre-V7.2, with most types of vehicles presented in the Main Base.
Gameplay[]
- The Combined Arms Unit Type focuses on a balanced roster with vehicles made up of different configurations.
- The defensive setup has no ATGM Emplacement and has high-tier vehicles reduced in number or in a Delayed Timer.
- Combined Arms unit has three Infantry Fighting Vehicles available by default. But there are exceptions:
- Combined Arms unit has three Light Vehicles available by default, normally consisting of 2 open-top HMG and one RWS HMG. But there are exceptions:
- ADF and BAF open-top only has 7.62mm MMG turrets.
- BAF only has one open-top HMG, as mentioned above.
- CAF light vehicles only have 7.62mm MMG; moreover, its open-top vehicles are unarmored jeeps.
- USMC replaces its RWS light vehicle with two AAVP heavy APCs.
- PLAAGF does not have light vehicles, but open-top HMG APCs. PLANMC has one less open-top HMG APC than PLAAGF, possibly due to an oversight.
- VDV does not have light vehicles, but lightly armored BTR-D APCs, and one of the APCs is the BTR-ZD anti-air artillery, making VDV setup having the highest firepower density.
Unit Setup[]
Typically, a Combined Arms Offensive unit consists of the following vehicle types:
- 2× Transport Trucks, with one on a Delayed Timer
- 2× Logistics Trucks
- 3× Light Vehicles, one of the Light Vehicles having an enclosed turret
- 3× Infantry Fighting Vehicle
- 1× Main Battle Tank
- 2× Helicopter, one of the Helicopter on a Delayed Timer
- 4× Boats if the Map Layers allow
- 1× ATGM emplacement is available on attack
- 1× HAB per FOB
In the conventional faction's Defensive unit, the following changes are made:
- 1 Logistic vehicle is spawned at the forward position and will not respawn if destroyed.
- High-tier Vehicle quantity is reduced, with one or more on a Delayed Timer.
- Main Battle Tank is on a longer Delayed Timer.
- Helicopter is reduced by 1 and on a Delayed Timer of 15 minutes.
- ATGM emplacement is unavailable on defense.
For the unconventional Factions, the following changes are made:
- No substantial difference between offensive and defensive vehicle lineup.
- Defensive setup has access to the same Deployables as the offensive.
