The Ambusher is one of the Direct Combat roles available in Squad. The Ambusher role was added in Version 4.3, exclusively for the reworked Irregular Militia Forces.

Gameplay

• Ambusher excels at ambushing infantry and vehicles. Direct combat is not a strong suit for this kit.
• Your FN FAL and M16A2 are both excellent long-range weapons; use this to your advantage.
• Stay close to enemy logistics routes but remain cautious as well.
• Use your rifle grenades to clean enemy groups or AT grenades for close-quarter surprise attacks.
• Surprise attacks should be taken into consideration as well. By doing this, not only will you cause confusion among the enemy, but fear as well, especially in an ambush.
• Always keep your weapon raised during tight combat; quick reactions will save you in many situations.
• Always keep clear communication with your squad; updating enemy infantry and vehicle movement frequently is key for a coordinated ambush attack.
