Gameplay

Just like the TLAV, the ACV-15 is based on the M113. The ACV has twice as heavy armor on the sides (30mm) as the TLAV (15mm).

At only 5.26 m (17.3 ft) length, the ACV-15 is the shortest IFV in Squad, making it a very small target for enemies that are flanking it. The only even shorter vehicle in Squad is the FV107 Scimitar APC, which is equipped with a more powerful but magazine-loaded 30x170mm L21A1 RARDEN instead of the 25x137mm M242 Bushmaster autocannon. Although shorter than the FV107, the ACV-15 is 78cm (2.5 ft) taller, allowing the gunner to have better view over the battlefield but also being more easily detected by enemies.
